First Post

Busy, busy, busy!  The time from Thanksgiving through the New Year is always busy.  For me it's even more so this year because not only am I scrambling to finish Christmas preparations (I have yet to get done early even though every year I say I'm going to), I'm mentally and emotionally preparing myself to enter the work force after twelve years as a stay at home mom.  (Minus one and a half years of full time work a while back).

Beginning January 3rd I will be a full time preschool teacher.  Not preschool exactly, but 2 year olds.  Rest assured this is not a daycare situation.  I'll be responsible for the planning and implementation of a full fledged curriculum.  I will miss my days as a full time homemaker, but I trust God has led me to work outside the home for a reason.

To aid in the transition and assure quality family time, I'm working on streamlining household duties and meal preparation.  I don't want my family, pets, or home to suffer because of my absence.  Then there's the matter of training for my first marathon.  Oh, and a little entrepreneurial endeavor as well as a desire to become more philanthropic.

On top of it all, and besides the usual goings on, obligations, etc.-- this weblog.  Which I'm hoping to update on a daily basis.  It will be a nice escape.  As much as I am looking forward to all the New Year has to offer (did I mention two children involved in sports and other extra curricular activities), this little slice of the world wide web to call my own will do me good.  Perhaps it will do someone else some good, as well!
